Gang, as an at-this-time occasional photographer on at the drags (you may have heard about it sometime), I have to say BRING IT THE HELL ON!!! I really get tired of shooting dragster runs that have to be interpreted to figure out if the car is moving or not ... and you can see all the stuff because it is hanging out there for you to see. I get tired of funny car runs that look like a body shell sitting on the track. If you are shooting from the front, you can't see the tires on those things ... ever notice that? I get tired of Pro Stock ... well, I just get tired of Pro Stock. Pro Stock Truck ... well, zzzzzzz.

And talk about making the intermediate classes worth looking at again. I think I would be very willing to take the chance and continue to stand in front of these things for a little while longer. Personally, with all the insurance crap that they have now, they will have to decide whether the better show is worth the risk of having every car a bit more on the edge. I would think they are probably having enough trouble with the over-run tires (sorry, probably wasn't supposed to mention that) to add this little feature. I am not holding my breath.

Personally, I agree with recent comments about adding light shows, music, and all that crap. I can be as purist a fan as anyone, but if it will build the gate, bring more people, give the sponsors more of a selling point, and rejuvenate the sport, I am willing to move on with it. Hell, I finally started wearing earplugs anyway.
