Millican Leads Top Fuel Qualifying at IHRA Amalie Oil Summer Nationals

CORDOVA, Ill. - Clay Millican made the quickest pass in Cordova Dragway Park history as he qualified first for the Amalie Oil Summer National. The 34 year- old driver from Drummonds, Tenn. recorded a 4.622 elapsed time and a speed of 309.91 mile per hour.

Top qualifiers in other professional classes include Mike Janis, Lancaster, N.Y. in Pro Modified, Tony Mattioli, Williamsburg, Va, in Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harley-Davidson, Dale Brand, Sully, Iowa in Funny Car and Gene Wilson, Canton, Ga. in Pro Stock.

Final Eliminations resume Saturday at 4 p.m.
