IHRA Rockingham: Millican Heads Into Finals
With Number One Qualified Position

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. - Clay Millican will lead the Top Fuel contingent into battle on Sunday at the CARQUEST Autumn Nationals at Rockingham Dragway when he attempts to set the new record for the most consecutive wins in one season. The record, held by "Big Daddy" Don Garlits, was set in 1975. Millican holds the number one qualifying position with a 4.601/317.05 run. The run stands as the quickest run in IHRA, but has yet to be backed-up within one percent to become an IHRA World Record.

Fred Hahn of Elma, N.Y., will lead the Pro Modified field into competition, while Steve Stordeur, Goshen, Ohio, Dale Brand, Sully, Iowa, and Gene Wilson of Canton, Ga., remained atop the Nitro Harley-Davidson, Funny Car, and Pro Stock classes.

With all fields set, eliminations are slated to begin at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
