In Kooks Custom Headers Pro Street, Carmel, NY resident Chris Rini was No. 1 qualifier and made it in the record books with the first five-second run in NMCA Pro Street history. Steve Matusek of Olathe, KS also made history in the class with a 6.11 at 250 mph run. Dunne’s ’68 Camaro and Randy Adler’s ’57 Bel Air met in the final round. The Wolcott, CT resident won it with a 6.03 at 237.63 mph over Adler.

Mike Murillo continued his reign of terror in the
10.5W this season. Murillo was the top qualifier with a 6.617 at 220.58 mph. Willard Kinzer of Allen, KY ran the quickest in the class at 239.91. In eliminations, Murillo took home another Wally and the win against Chepachet, RI’s Eric Laferriere, who broke, with a 6.610 at 223.80 mph.

Pro Street
In ARP Nostalgia Pro Street, Jeff Colletta’s ’69 Camaro was the quickest and fastest car at 7.194 at 192 mph. In the final, St. Clari, MI’s Jim Jarrett took home the win and a Wally beating out Covington, TN resident Skip Baskin with a 7.24 at 190.97 mph.
CFE Xtreme Street
Bob Kurgan (Hoschton, GA) made history with his ’86 Mustang running a 7.728 while Phil Smith’s (Granger, IN) ’85 Trans Am ran the fastest at 181.74. In the final round, Enzo Pecchini of Woodbridge, Ontario took home the victory against Phil Smith.
Comp Cams Pro Stock
In the Comp Cams Pro Stock lineup, Charlie Booze Jr.’s ’92 Mustang GT blasted down the quarter-mile with an 8.364 at 160.54 run – the best run in the class. He continued into the finals against Andy Schmidt’s ’85 Mustang. Booze won the title and a Wally with an 8.35 at 159 mph run.
Melbourne, FL’s Michael Fratena ’89 Camaro earned the fastest in its class with a 187.83 mph. In the final round, the season’s top contender Jason Lee of Maumee, OH, who was No. 1 qualifier, was victorious against Fratena. Lee beat Fratena, who redlit, with a 7.955 at 141.24 mph.
Indy Cylinder Head Nostalgia Super Stock
Fred Rader of Mansfield, OH, was the event’s top qualifier with a 10.5 at 129.42 mph in his ’63 Dodge. In the final round, Kurt Neighbor of Franklin, KY, went up against DW Hopkins of Tupelo, MS. Neighbor’s ’65 Comet beat Hopkins’ ’64 Thunder Bolt with a 9.326 at 136.23 mph for the championship.
New Lenox, IL’s Michael Slaviero was the event’s No. 1 qualifier. Franklin, KY’s Larry Fleming punched it to the victory with a .017 reaction against Plainfield, IL’s Paul Osipoft .097 reaction.
In Hawk Performance Open Comp, Roman Keyeski of Cadott, WI picked up the No. 1 qualifier position during eliminations. In the final round, Susan McClenaghan of Livionia, MI, defeated Litchield, IL resident David Hearn, who red lit, with a 9.725 at 138.19 mph run.

Robert Mays of Cove Ridge, TN, won the EATON Posi-Late Model EFI event with his ’06 GTO. Washington, MI’s Doug Winters in his ’99 Camaro was No. 1 qualifier. Mays went head-to-head with Granite, IL’s Jason Phillips. Mays won with a 12.055 at 111.48 mph run.
