Apparently in the winners circle at the NHRA event in Norwalk, Antron Brown made the comment that he “wanted a piece of the 16-time champ.” This set up the “Nitro Challenge”: John Force said if Antron could beat Brittany, then he could get his shot at him.
Round 1: Antron beats Brittany Force, 3.83 to 4.08 (lost traction at top end).
John Force beat Capps 4.145 @ 316.30 to 4.146 @ 312.78.
Cruz Pedregon faced Dale Creasy Jr. twice and ran a best of 4.127 @ 307.37.

In the 2nd round, Brittany beat Capps 3.804 @ 326.63 to Ron’s 4.08 @ 315.42.
Finally, Antron beat John 3.801 @ 321.65 to Force’s 4.145 @ 299.06.
Bob Motz burned down wall and ran 7.01 @ 215.00.
Scotty Hart in the Fifty Cal jet was the quickest and fastest 5.27 @ 301.87.
Note: Matt Hagen made two passes in the NAPA chassis but with a new modified Dodge Charger body (check out the side vs. Capps).
The Blew By You gasser won its class with a 8.767 @ 153.72.
Wheelstanders added to the exciting show.
