Coming up Monday, June 22nd, 2015 at 8 PM Eastern on Racin’ and Rockin’ with DragList.com, Bill Pratt will host a tribute to one of our sport’s finest gentlemen and most dynamic of drivers, Tripp Shumake! In the late 70s and early 80s, Tripp was a constant threat to the champs who ran the NHRA Funny Car tour. His personality and dedication to drag racing helped to bring our sport into the hearts of America. We are proud to have Susie Shumake Anderson share her memories of this great man with us!
My commentary will focus on Drag Racing and Rock ‘n Roll, and how the two are one and the same. For my segment’s Racers of the Week, I will post the graphic and details tomorrow for JB’s Pick: Karen Stevens, from Chippenham, Wiltshire, England. Karen was recommended to me by our friend Carla Pittau of Heaven & Hell Racing. Thanks, Carla! Karen’s outstanding performance in her beautiful ’72 Chevy "Lass Vega" earned her the 2014 championship in Super Street in the UK series. I’m looking forward to featuring Karen as Racer of the Week!
