GLENDORA, Calif. (Sept. 2, 2015) – Marleen Gurrola has been promoted to vice president of human resources, reporting directly to NHRA President Peter Clifford. Gurrola will join NHRA’s leadership team.
“Since joining NHRA in 1997, Marleen has been responsible for all of the organization’s human resources functions,” Clifford said. “The people on the NHRA team make us what we are. Marleen has been instrumental in building our great team.”
In addition, Gurrola has assumed responsibility for additional areas including travel and office services. The scope of her responsibility includes all of NHRA’s regular employees as well as all of NHRA’s event workers, spread across the NHRA corporate headquarters, NHRA Museum, five NHRA-owned race facilities and six NHRA Division offices.
“Marleen has excelled at every level of responsibility and is a trusted adviser,” Clifford said. “She has extensive experience in her field and extensive experience at NHRA with deep knowledge across all of our functional areas.”
Gurrola’s responsibilities include managing the company’s employee benefit programs and compliance matters, training, employee-related insurance programs, travel and office services.
