2016 LEGION OF HONOR INDUCTEES ANNOUNCED

YORK SPRINGS, PENNSYLVANIA – The National Nostalgia Drag Racing Association has been presenting the annual Legion of Honor awards since 2004 to many drag racing pioneers as esteemed recognition for their many contributions to the sport and performance industry.

The awards will be presented for 2016 during an awards ceremony at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing, York Springs on Friday, July 8, 2016, at 5 p.m. during the celebration of York US30 Heritage Days a part of the annual York Reunion which is an integral part of the York Nostalgia Weekend.

Each recipient is presented a Legion of Honor award and their name is placed upon a perpetual award that is on display at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing located one mile north of York Springs, Pennsylvania just off Route 15 at 100 Baltimore Road. The perpetual award will be displayed in
perpetuity on the walls in the drag racing section of the museum.

This year’s awards recipients are Joe Tryson, Sherrillsford, North Carolina; James “Jim” Fagan, Honeybrook, Pennsylvania; Rocky Pirrone, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Jack “Atco Jack” Musilli, Sicklerville, New Jersey; Patricia “Pat” Doll, York, Pennsylvania; George “Ohio George” Montgomery, Dayton, Ohio; Jeffrey “Jeff” Golden, Wrightsville, Pennsylvania; Joseph “Joe” McComas, Dagsboro, Delaware; and Neil Hinkle, Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Every award presented is in recognition of the significant impact that each recipient has had on drag racing’s performance heritage.

There is no award that is more cherished than one that is received from the input of your peers. We salute all of the inductees for their many outstanding contributions to their performance heritage.
