NMCA WEST Spring Nationals Kicks Off the 2017 Season at Fontana

Santa Ana, CA (March 8, 2017) – The 2017 NMCA WEST VP Racing Fuels season opener comes to Fontana on March 31st thru April 2nd with an exciting line-up of heads-up drag racing and autocross. The 6th Annual Nitto Tire NMCA WEST Spring Nationals event at Auto Club Dragway offers affordable family-friendly motorsports events all weekend long. There’s something for every automotive fan! On the dragstrip, there’s side-by-side competition between American muscle cars with the Hotchkis Cup Autocross, presented by Nitto Tire, entertaining road-racing fans adjacent to the drag strip.

NMCA WEST brings all levels of racecars from mild to wild. ProCharger Outlaw Street brings on turbocharged, supercharged and nitrous-powered wheels up lift-off with over 2,000 horses under the hood. If that’s not enough, there’s Meziere Enterprises Top Sportsman, ARP Outlaw 8.5, Lucas Oil N/A 10.5 and Fastest Street Car Ultra Street ! There is something for everyone from novice to the experienced racer. Gear Vendors True Street where all street-legal rides are welcome. If flying around corners at high speed is your thing, the Hotchkis Cup Autocross presented by Nitto Tire will be running the entire weekend. Since NMCA WEST added the autocross competition to all events, thousands of fans have enjoyed a weekend racing, watching and riding along on an autocross course created by the Racing Byrds, a husband and wife team that loves the sport. Live timing, music and a wifi hotspot make this event fun to attend no matter what you’re driving. 1-day participants pay $100 for a full day of racing from 9am to 5pm (includes free 1-day guest pass). 2-day racers pay $150 (includes free 2-day guest pass) and compete for the coveted Hotchkis Cup. With a limit of 75 cars per day, all racers get maximum track time. Purchase entries in advance at the NMCA WEST PowerMall.

The manufacturers’ midway features product displays, food vendors and lots of shopping. Choose from the latest collectible model car or find your favorite NMCA WEST t-shirt, hat or accessory. 1-day adult spectators pay just $20 per ticket, which includes free parking and access to all of the racing plus racer pits. Kids 12 and under are always FREE.
