ATLANTA DRAGWAY HOSTS NHRA LUCAS OIL DRAG RACING SERIES
COMMERCE, Ga. – The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Southeast Division is racing into Atlanta Dragway for the fifth of the seven events in the division, this weekend, May 19-21, 2017. Drivers will be racing to earn points leading to divisional and national championships as well as a chance at a share of the year-end purse of more than $519,000.
Racing categories include Comp Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street. The division’s Stott’s Ford Top Sportsman Series and Hickory Enclosed Trailer Sales Top Dragster Series will also be run in conjunction with the event. Tickets are $20 each day, with children age 12 and under free with paid adult. The schedule is as follows:
FRIDAY, May 19 – Single day ticket $20 per person
Sportsman qualifying and time trials begin 10 a.m.
Hickory Enclosed Top Dragster, Comp, Stotts Ford Top Sportsman qualifying 3 p.m.
SATURDAY, May 20 – Single day ticket $20 per person
Gates open at 8:30 a.m.
Sportsman qualifying and time trials begin at 9:00 a.m.
Junior Drag Racing League run time 11:00 a.m.
Qualifying Hickory Enclosed Top Dragster & Stott’s Ford Top Sportsman at noon, 12 and 3:00 p.m.
Gamblers Race 4 p.m.
SUNDAY, May 21 – Single day ticket $20 per person
Gates open at 8:30 a.m.
Eliminations begin all classes at 9 a.m.
