2018 National Hot Rod Reunion Photos and Results

Hot, Hot and Hotter is the best description of the 16th Annual Holley Hot Rod Reunion at Beech Bend Raceway. With temperatures in the mid to upper 90’s both Friday and Saturday and track temperatures over 130, the weather took its toll on the track and racers alike. Eric Larson was low qualifier in 6.0 pro @ 6.017, but couldn’t make the call on Saturday.

Michael Roppo’s nostalgia pro stock Firebird had no trouble finding traction.

Dave Brown in the Beedy & Malloy A/FD smoked them to the 700 ft mark.

Tire smoke took out defending champ Adam Sorokin in round 1 of top fuel.

Dan Horan ran strong all weekend and took home the funny car crown.

Ron Hope spent his 74th birthday in the Rat Trap going 6.50 @ 207.85 with the front wheels dancing!

Shawn Bowen was low qualifier in FC at 5.87 but this dropped cylinder took him out in the semis.

Mendy Fry ran the table. Qualified #1 at 5.68 and out ran Jimmy Young in the final with a 5.72.

This power wheelstand sealed John Smith’s fate in the funny car final against Horan.

Bazz Young banged the blower in the final of 6.0 Pro.
