POWERADE BRAND JOINS MELLO YELLO FOR 2020 NHRA SEASON

GLENDORA, Calif. — This season, NHRA fans will see a familiar name at all NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events. POWERADE, the official isotonic of NHRA, will be providing fans and drivers with two new product offerings to sample and enjoy – POWERADE ULTRA and POWERADE POWER WATER. POWERADE, the sports drink consumers know and love and Mello Yello, are both part of The Coca-Cola Company.

For the first time in 13 years POWERADE recently launched two new zero-calorie, zero-sugar products – POWERADE ULTRA and POWERADE POWER WATER. Additionally, the brand unveiled its new ION4-inspired packaging design. These new product and packaging innovations provide more hydration options to a variety of consumers.

“We are thrilled to bring POWERADE ULTRA and POWERADE POWER WATER to the drivers, pit crews and loyal fans of the NHRA community,” said Al Rondon, Senior Manager of Sports Marketing at The Coca-Cola Company. “POWERADE’s innovations further advance our Company’s intent to refresh the world.”

POWERADE ULTRA will be available for NHRA drivers and pit crew teams while POWERADE POWER WATER will be available for fans to sample after races (while supplies last). POWERADE and POWERADE ZERO samples will be available at the Mello Yello Powerhouse during the race.

The new suite of POWERADE products will be featured at all 24 of NHRA’s national events for fans and drivers to sample and experience. Fans can stop by the Mello Yello Powerhouse sampling machine to try samples and learn more about these exciting new products. Products will also be offered at the end of the day when fans are exiting an event.
