Right2Breathe Lung Health Expo Returns at NHRA Norwalk

Right2Breathe® Lung Health Expo Returns at NHRA Norwalk National Event

Flemington, NJ – After a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NHRA Nitro Driver Joe Morrison’s Right2Breathe “Put Your Lungs on the Dyno” Project will return during the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals contested in Norwalk, OH – June 22nd through the 25th.

The New Jersey-based 501 (c)(3) non-profit has partnered with Cleveland Clinic, one of the top five rated lung centers in the country, to provide onsite lung health screening and education to the estimated 70,000+ fans and racers expected to attend the NHRA National Event at Summit Racing Motorsports Park.

The Right2Breathe® Project is a robust, grass-roots marketing Lung Health Education, Awareness, and Screening Campaign hosted at public venues ranging from automotive to sporting events in the United States.

Since 2016, the Right2Breathe Project has screened thousands of passionate NHRA Drag Racing enthusiasts in Bakersfield, Charlotte, Epping, Maple Grove, Indianapolis, Gainesville, and now Norwalk, OH.

For Right2Breathe CEO Joe Morrison, the return of the full-scope Right2Breathe Project at an NHRA National Event is a breath of fresh air, proving that hard work and determination pay off and that all challenges in life are possible to overcome.

“Right2Breathe believes that people can overcome great challenges when they allow their passions in life to inspire them,” noted Morrison. “The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted our ability to connect with our demographic in person at events. We’re excited that Cleveland Clinic will provide a team of experts in Norwalk. To be partnered with a world-renowned lung center means the world to me.”

A team of medical professionals, including respiratory therapists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and pulmonologists, will be on hand to provide free lung screening and answer questions about common lung diseases, including COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, lung cancer, asthma, and long haul COVID-19. They will also provide free resources for race fans, vendors, and competitors at the event.

The staff from Cleveland Clinic are donating their time – showing their commitment to the community and the importance of their shared belief in the Right2Breathe mission: “To provide Education, Awareness, Free Screening, and Resources for people who are currently diagnosed or at higher risk of being diagnosed with respiratory disease. We believe that Everybody has a Right2Breathe.”

Dr. Anu Suri, a senior pulmonologist from Cleveland Clinic, will be one of the physicians supporting Right2Breathe onsite during the weekend.

“Early detection and awareness can make a big difference,” noted Dr Suri. “It helps promote lung preservation, provides more treatment options, and allows our patients to have a more fulfilled life by staying ahead of lung disease. At Cleveland Clinic, we take care of our patients as if they are our own family and we are committed to the communities we serve. We are honored to have this opportunity to collaborate with the Right2Breathe team.”

The Right2Breathe Lung Health Expo at Summit Racing Motorsports Park is made possible due to funding provided by Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital Physicians Committee, donations from Cleveland Clinic staff, Glockner Oil Company, Innovative Global Technology Group, and Alen Air Purifiers.
