Notes: Drake was at Atco in June for the CARS Championships. It was an eight-car show, and his 8.49/155.97 beat Randy Drey in the first round. In the semi-final, he defeated Joe Amato's 8.76/167 with an 8.57/164.53. He faced Jay Minor in the final, and Viscome's 8.82/146.34 got the victory over Jay's troubled 9.53/111. Richie Mey, Ray DeCarli, "Tink Schaefer" shop and "road" crew chiefs. Drake was the sales manager for the dealership. MEMBER OF TOM "SMOKER" SMITH'S EAST COAST FUEL FUEL FUNNY CAR CIRCUIT. Notes: Wallace was in New England on May 19 for the AHRA Grand Stock Circuit race. It was an eight-car field, and his 9.70 qualified #5. Unfortunately, that set up a first-round meeting with low qualifier Tom Sneden. The results were predictable as Sneden's 9.61/144 beat Pee Wee's 9.77/140. On June 16, he went to Suffolk for another eight-car show. His 9.50/146.10 beat Wayne Gapp's Cougar in the opening round. In the semifinals, his 9.66/145.39 lost to Tom Smoker.
