Notes: Like the Donovan engine, the Rodeck engine was on its way out in the late eighties. The trend continued towards the KB and JP-1 engines, with a few major exceptions. Harsin continued to run his Rodeck. He was at Woodburn on July 12 for the NHRA Division 6 race. It was an eight-car field, and his 7.80/161.57 qualified #7. Only one other Rodeck powered car qualified, and it was on the "bump." In the opening round of eliminations, he improved to 7.56/169.81, but it wasn't enough as he lost by a second to Bucky Austin's 6.56/212.
