Notes: Steel block. Tony was at Moroso Motorsports Park on February 13 for the NHRA Division 2 opener. His 7.11/187.89 qualified #4, and in the first round, his 7.16/191.08 beat Dan Fiorelli. In the semifinal, Bill Mullins broke, and Tony eased to a 7.81/124.48 to advance. In the final, low qualifier, Darrell Gwynn also broke, so Lebor ran 7.34/185.56 for the victory. At the second Division 2 race held in Atlanta on March 6, only five cars showed. Tony's 7.19/189.07 qualified last, and his 7.45/177.86 in the opening round fell to Don Woosley's 6.72/207. He then went to Gainesville for the NHRA Gatornationals, where his 6.80/198.23 qualified #15. In round one, his 6.83/196.50 lost to Ronnie UMbach's 6.64/205. Only six cars showed for the third Division 2 race at Warner-Robins, and Tony's 6.92/189.07 qualified #3. In the first round, his 6.94/189.87 beat Ken Smith's 7.20/194, and in the semifinal, his 7.05/163.63 advanced when Mullins broke. He faced Gwynn in the final, and Darrell's car didn't break this time. Tony's 6.96/190.27 finished runner-up to Gwynn's 6.75/194. Notes: Tony was in Atlanta on March 15 for the NHRA Division 2 race. His 6.55/205.01 qualified #4. In the opening round, a 6.57/205.01 beat Butch Osmon's 6.60/209. He slowed to 6.74/199.55 in the semi-final and lost to eventual winner Don Woosley's 6.49/212. He had one of the four Rodeck-powered cars to qualify at Gainesville for the NHRA Gatornationals. His 6.44/204.77 was on the "bump" for the sixteen-car field. Unfortunately, his 6.77/195.10 lost to Lee Young's 6.43/211 in round one. In April, Tony was back in Atlanta for the NHRA Southern Nationals. This was an eight-car show; he qualified #7 at 6.47/209.54. A slightly better 6.46/207.85 in the first round fell to Young's 6.39/213. He ran well at the mid-May NHRA Division 2 race at DeSoto Memorial. The field was unusual in that all six qualified (only six cars showed) used some form of a Chevy engine. Four were Rodeck powered, and his 6.58/205.01 qualified second behind Bill Barney's 6.46/214. These two would work their way into the final. Lebor got to solo in round one when Bill Steigerwald failed to show. Tony ran 18.11/44.70 to advance. A 6.59/203.61 stopped Bill McCormack's 6.67/203 in the semi-final. The final was in no doubt, as Barney's Arias-powered car was running 6.4s with ease. Tony tried, but his 6.62/203.61 finished runner-up to Bill's 6.42/217. Was this known as the AA/Bad Habit?
