Notes: Marshell was at LaPlace Dragway on April 6 for the NHRA Division 4 opener. He ran well, beating Don Souter in the opening round with a 6.54/220 and a 6.44 in the semifinal defeated Ronnie Martin. He faced Dave Settles, who was driving the "Candies and Hughes" car in the final. He two had a great race that saw Dave's 6.37/232 get the victory over Love's 6.44/228.42. The team entered NHRA Indianapolis but did not show. They won the IHRA Rockingham US Open on 9/22/74 when Dale Funk ran quicker but crossed the centerline. The team ran 6.20 at Green Valley and 6.079/228.42 (fifth alternate) at NHRA Ontario CA. Where were the 6.01/235 numbers run? |

Notes: Marshell was the #8 qualifier at NHRA Gainesville at 6.20/218.44. He could not start in round one, sending Dave Settles on a single. Marshell set Low ET and qualified #1 at IHRA Bristol in June, but broke an oil line and shut off against Pat Dakin in round one. He then went to Oklahoma City's Stars and Stripes Dragway A week later, on June 29, for the fourth NHRA Division 4 race. His 6.68/209.30 qualified #4 in the eight-car field.
