Notes: Martin was one of the 32 Top Fuel drivers competing for a spot in the 32-car field at New York National for the PRO National Challenge race. His 6.25/222.76 qualified #12 but a tire-smoking 6.74/196.50 lost to Larry Bucher's 6.35 in the opening round. NOTE: Two Ron Martins were racing this year.
