Notes: With the fuel ban imposed at several SoCal strips, they were limited in where they could race their rear-engined roadster. Drag News (4/18/59) reported that their "exhaust note was deafening." At Pomona on January 18, they ran the low ET and top speed of the day on their class win with 9.62 at 150.25 mph. They were favored to win top eliminator, but bogged coming off the line against Don McEvoy's B fuel Triumph bike and lost. At Colton on February 15, they made a warm-up run of 147.78 mph off the trailer. They won their class with a run of 10.95 at 153.06 mph. The following week, at Colton, on February 22, they ran unopposed to win their class with 10.25 at 158.73 mph. That was the top ET and speed of the meet. At Riverside, on March 22, they competed in the SCTA half-mile drag races. They garnered the meet's top fuel time with 180.26 mph in 16.48 seconds. At the season's final SCTA meet at Riverside on April 12, they broke all records with a top speed of 185.38 mph for the half mile. They also clocked the low ET of the meet with 16.14 seconds.
