Notes: Tim was at Topeka in the first week of October for the NHRA Craftsman Nationals. Unfortunately, he ended up as the third alternate with a 5.89/237.40 best. He did much better a couple of weeks later Oct. 15) at the Texas Motorplex for the Chief Nationals. His 5.71/243.96 qualified #6, but the car broke against Cristen Powell in round one.

Notes: The jet dragster amazed everyone when the parachute shook loose right at the starting line and burned to shreds before the 1000 foot mark. Fortunately, a second 'chute is required and Darin Bay was able to bring it to a safe stop, even though he had reached a speed of 276 miles per hour. - Woodburn 4/19/09
