Notes: Elephant-motored Maverick replaced the former Ramchargers '67 Dart that MCS campaigned for several years on the Midwest UDRA circuit. Car was featured in the 6/71 issue of Speed & Super Car. - RT | Confirmed 7.62 at Miami. The 6.81 seems very quick for Danny to have run in 1971. Confirm. - Danny White | Magazine article cites 7.18, so that is much quicker than the 7.62. - BP | Danny Miller's new Maverick for '71 was featured in the September '71 issue of HR. The car used a 120" chassis built by MCS Enterprises. The Maverick body was from Fiberglass Trends and was chopped two inches. The engine was a 426 Hemi that was overbored .030. M/T rods held Jahns pistons and an Isky cam was used. The heads were done by S&K and Cragar supplied the blower drive and manifold. The GMC 6/71 was set up by Larry Bowers. An Enderle injector sat up top. The power was transmitted to the 5.13 Mopar rear by a Lenco transmission. It weighed 2,050 lbs. The article stated that he had run 7.18 with the car.
