Notes: Shay was at Phoenix on January 25 for the Winter Classic. She qualified #1, but her 9.26/147.54 in the opening round fell to eventual winner Larry Lombardo's 8.87/153. An 8.994/151.51 at the Pomona Winternationals was the first eight-second run recorded by a woman. Shay qualified #13 but lost to Richie Zul in round one, 8.90/151 to 9.12/150. That was her last NHRA national event of the year. Shay also ran 8.99/150 at NHRA D4 LaPlace LA in march. Was that 8.99 quicker than the 8.994 at Pomona?
