Notes: There sure were not a lot of Donovan-powered alcohol FCs running by '86. But Marc did fairly well on a local level with his. He was at Maple Grove on June 22 for the third NHRA Division 1 race. His 6.52/211.76 qualified #6 for the eight-car field. In the opening round,Brinkley's 6.62/207.85 lost to Pete Gallen's 6.60/212. Notes: Earl ran 7.29/171.42 at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals, but that time just missed the 7.28 "bump." He got into the field as an alternate when Bert Williams broke. In the first round, his 7.534/214.28 lost to Bennie Osborn's 7.44/208. Castle Rock held a Fathers Day Race on June 16 that had 24 cars show for the sixteen car field. Only five cars qualified in the 7.5's, and Binns was one of them. His 7.57/197.36 beat Mike Dollins in the "Big 4" car in the opening round of eliminations. In the second round, Alan Bockla beat him. He ran 208.32 at Castle Rock on August 4, and 7.03 at Minnesota Dragways.
