Notes: Sicinski had "Dyno Don" Nicholson and Earl Wade run the car at Pomona for the NHRA Winternationals to help Frank sort it out. After that, he was behind the wheel at Gainesville for the NHRA Gatornationals. With 48 cars attempting to make the field, his 7.740/177.79 qualified #12. He had one of the four Fords that made the field. His 7.83/176.81 beat Dave Hutchens in the opening round of eliminations. In the second round, both he and his opponent, Gordie Rivera, had problems with Frank's 9.26/118.07 trailing Gordie's 8.26/145 to the line. He then went to Atlanta for the NHRA Southern Nationals, where things didn't work out as well as his 7.90/175.57 (tenth alternate)failed to crack the 7.84 "bump." He then went to Baton Rouge rear the end of May for the NHRA Cajun Nationals. Once again, he failed to qualify; this time, his 7.79/180.07 left him as the fourth alternate. There were 34 cars at Columbus trying to get a spot in the sixteen-car show. Sicinski ended up as the seventh alternate with a 7.82/177.09 best. Frank attempted to qualify at Englishtown for the NHRA Summernationals, but his 7.76 best failed to crack the 7.74 bump to get into the field. Best NHRA national event time ere were 7.740 at Gainesville and 180.07 at Baton Rouge. Also raced in the Texas Pro Stock Association.

Notes: In June, Frank was at Hallsville Dragstrip for the Texas Pro Stock Association opener. It was a 1,000-foot track, and Sicinski qualified #1 with a 6.76 (Low ET) at 159.87. Pat Pesz fouled against him in the first round, and Frank's 7.22/151.51 advanced. He had a close race with Richard Otwell in the semi-final that saw the T-Bird's 6.93/157.89 beat the Firebird's 6.94/149. He faced the only other Ford in the field in the final, Neil Hieb's T-Bird. We have no times for the final, but Sicinski picked up the win.
