Notes: Bill was at Thunder Valley on June 20 for the third NHRA Division 5 race. He set Top Speed at 210.28 and reached the final against Roger Guzman. The two had a good race, but Guzman's 7.16/191 got the victory over Spevacek's 7.23/184.80 runner-up effort. Bill was at Bison Dragways for the final NHRA Division 5 race in August. Only four cars showed, and his 6.64/215.82 qualified #1. In the opening round, his 6.65/221.67 lost to Art Ward's 6.69/205. Bill was the fourth alternate at NHRA Seattle at 7.550/124.45. That was his only NHRA national event of the year.
