Notes: Wally had fuel delivery problems that held the Beretta back to 7.10's throughout the early season. After finally getting the fuel into the engine, this became the quickest Pro Modified car of '90. Notes: Stroupe had a great season in '91. It started with a big win at Darlington for the IHRA Winternationals. He qualified #10 and in the opening round ran a 6.99/199.28 to advance. Wally got a bit of a break in the semifinals when Wayne Torkelson was unable to run and he got to make a solo pass into the final. There, he faced Scotty Cannon and Cannon broke after leaving the line so Wally took the victory. He also was running well at Atco for the IHRA Eastern Nitrous Nationals. A second round 7.01/198.89 moved him into the semifinals when Killer Brooks fouled, but Wally lost to the eventual winner Fred Hahn. Stroupe got another semifinal finish at Bristol for the IHRA Springnationals. There he lost to Cannon who would go on to win the event.
