Notes: After obtaining his license in March, Greg drove for Jerry Haas from Atlanta 93 to Denver 93. He failed to qualify at Atlanta for the NHRA Southern Nationals where his 7.31/189.83 was good for the eleventh alternate. He also failed to qualify at the next NHRA National event, the Mid-South Nationals, where a 7.38 best failed to make the show. At Englishtown, 31 cars attempted to qualify for the sixteen-car field for the Mopar Parts Nationals. Unfortunately, Greg's best of 7.25/191.53 was good for the eighth alternate. The bad luck continued at the NHRA Springnationals where he was the ninth alternate with a 7.35/189.11 best. At the NHRA Western Nationals, the trend continued as a 7.42/186.60 was the thirteenth alternate.
