Notes: Bill ran 6.80/203.16 at NHRA Gainesville. Wallace was at Beech Bend at the end of May for the NHRA Sportsnationals. He qualified #6 with a 6.93 and lasted until the semi-final, where his 7.04 fell to Wilfred Boutilier's 6.95. At Columbus, his 7.03 qualified #7 for the NHRA Springnationals, but he lost to Wayne McMurty in the first round. Bill also ran well at the NHRA Summernationals at Englishtown in July. He ran 6.89/200.89 to qualify #7. He made it into the semi-final before eventual winner Ken Veney's 6.82 stopped his 6.98. He qualified #6 at Indy (need times) and beat Bob Chipper in round one, 6.81/203.61 to 6.86/201. In round two, he defeated Arnie Karp, 6.81/203.16 to 7.02/198. Bill lost to eventual winner Dave Settles in round three, 6.82/190 to 6.91/202.64.
