Notes: Jim was at OCIR on December 4 for its Super Altered Invitational. All fourteen cars ran in the first round, with the four quickest advancing to the semi-final. Notes: Johnny West's brother. West qualified on the "bump" at Tucson for the AHRA Winternationals with an 8.37. In the first round, he advanced when Gene Snow crossed the centerline. Unfortunately, West’s Vega broke on the run, and Snow was reinstated for round two. West was at El Paso Dragway in mid-May for the NHRA Division 4 race. In the first round, the car broke on the line against Frank O'Brien.
