Video link is a 1000 foot checkout pass at Route 66 in 2001: 7.68/165.17. This was taken one of the first times we had that car out after paint and motor. Notes: Doug was at Edgewater Park in May for a UDRA Circuit race. It was an eight-car field, and his 6.51/214.88 qualified #2 behind Pat Dakin's 6.43. In the first round, he soloed at 6.52/214.28 when Gary Dye shut down on the line with an oil leak. Unfortunately, in the semifinals, his car broke against Dakin. The team entered 1974 NHRA Indianapolis but did not show.
