Notes: Garth came back out in 1999 with a big show top fuel car. He qualified #15 at Bandimere at 5.100/281.19, and improved to 4.936/290.38 in a first round loss to Doug Kalitta (4.70/299). At Sonoma, he qualified #16 at 4.835/276.13. In round one, he ran 4.873/297.88 but lost to Bob Vandergriff (4.63/314). Garth was the seventh alternate at his final race, the Pomona World Finals.
