Notes: Andy qualified #15 at Maple Grove for the NHRA Keystone Nationals with a 5.00/288.53. In the opening round, Pat Austin smoked the tires against him and Woods advanced with a 5.08/277.43. In round two, he defeated Mike Brotherton with a 5.04/286.53. In the semi-final, his 5.04/285.98 lost to Mike Dunn's 4.97/285. He did not race at Topeka for the NHRA Heartland Nationals but he was at the Texas Motorplex in October for the NHRA Chief Nationals. Unfortunately, his 5.06/282.75 best failed to qualify (fifth alternate). He also failed to qualify at Pomona for the NHRA World Finals where he was the third alternate at 5.01/291.82.
