Notes: Ronny ran four NHRA national events this year. He was the fourth alternate at Memphis at 6.987/142.11. Young qualified on the "bump" for the NHRA Western Auto Nationals at 5.615/264.62. In round one, he lost to number one qualifier John Force, 5.07/291 to 5.695/193.88. It was deja vu at the Heartland Nationals, where he again qualified on the bump with a 5.380/266.58. In the first round, he slowed to 5.561/211.91 in a loss to low qualifier Force's 4.95/297. Ronny attempted to qualify at the NHRA Chief Nationals in October, but his 5.408/247.38 best was good for the second alternate.

Notes: Ronny's first race was the NHRA Slick 50 Nationals held at the end of March. His 5.404/275.22 qualified on the "bump." He fouled against eventual winner John Force in the opening round and shut down to 8.98/96.69. He qualified on the bump in Memphis, too, at 5.511/251.18. And again, he lost to Force in round one, 5.20/299 to a 10-second shut-off for Ronny. He was the fourth alternate at Topeka at 5.89/220.95 and then the first at NHRA Ennis Fall with a much-improved 5.277/294.31. That was the team's last NHRA event this year.
