Notes: Lutz & Lundberg's yellow Anglia took the A/G class win at the '64 Nationals, beating Gene Altizer for the trophy. While most of the upper gas class cars were sporting a beefed hydro, driver Jim Lutz rowed a 4-speed stick. The car was destroyed in a racing accident at NEITA Raceway in Iowa in 1965. The team went on to build and race a well-remembered altered-wheelbase 4-4-2 funny car. (Times cited may not necessarily be the car's fastest or quickest.) - RT |
