Notes: At the NHRA WCS at Bonneville, Anderson defeated Joe Joe Shalkowski, Tim Cole in the Semis & George Pugh in the final to leave with the trophy. At the NHRA Mile High Nationals, Anderson qualified #6 with a 10.378 (0.622 Under) & Defeated #22 qualifier Jack Gibson in round 1 but lost to #14 Qualifier Jack Mullins in round 2. At the Northstar Nationals in Brainerd, Anderson qualified #13 with a 9.968 (0.372 Under). He defeated #27 qualifier Don Buerkle in Round 1 & #20 qualifier David Nickens in round 2. He faced #2 qualifier Larry Morgan in Round 3 where Anderson lost to the eventual runner up. At the Fallnationals in Phoenix, Anderson once again qualified #13 with a 9.871 (0.469 Under). He would defeated #29 qualifier Norman Neil in round 1 with a 9.97/134.52 to advance to Round 2 & once again face Larry Morgan who was the #5 qualifier where once again Anderson would lose. At the NHRA World Finals, Anderson qualified #16 with a 9.773 (0.427 Under) but would red light in round 1 against #32 qualifier Scott McClay. |
