Notes: Ran the NHRA US Nationals, At the NHRA Fallnationals in Phoenix, Gay qualified #16 with a 9.391 (0.449 Under). He Defeated #32 Qualifier Mike Robinson in Round 1 & then lost to #8 qualifier Bill Maropulos in Round 2. At the NHRA Winston World Finals in Pomona, Gay qualified #11 with a 9.242 (0.458 Under) & in round 1 red lighted away a 9.40/146.53 against #27 qualifier Steve White. |
