Notes: A three-page feature in the 7/65 issue of Midwest Drags described the car as a 143" Carnett-built chassis, blown 392 hemi fuel motor car with a handformed body incorporating a 1955 Messerschmitt body as a tailpiece. As such, the car was variously classed as a Fuel Modified Roadster and a dedicated A/Fuel Dragster. Newspaper articles from 1963 list the team as Carnett-Wein, but the Midwest Drag feature does not mention Wein but instead includes Bob Wernensback and Tom Kasza as Carnett's racing partners. -- RT
