Notes: The beautiful Ronnie Scrima-built Scrima-Liner -- also seen as Scrimaliner, and officially carrying the team name of Scrima-Bacilek-Milodon -- ranks high on the list of aero-styled Sixties full-bodied dragsters. However, none of the streamliners found that a sleek shell outweighed the substantial weight penalty the body cladding imposed. The 'liner ran with and without the body at various times. Goob Tuller drove in '64 and into '65 when he assumed a seat on the gas dragster "Freight Train." Pat Foster took over the seat midway through the '65 season. There appears no evidence owner-builder Ron Scrima ever drove this car. Times: In addition to the stated times, driver Tuller was quoted in the 12/4/64 Van Nuys (CA) Valley News as having run a 7.67 @ 201.36 and saying "...it is just starting to fun good." -- RT |
