Notes: Fred didn't run at IHRA's first two events, but he showed up at Atco for the Eastern Nitrous Nationals. He only qualified #15 in the sixteen-car field with a 7.187/185.75, but he unleashed an opening round 6.743/202.454. He toned it down a bit in round two where a 6.905/189.932 beat Ed Hoover. He then took out Wally Stroupe with a 6.907/190.28 to reach the final where he faced Ronnie Sox. Hahn Ran yet another 6.9 run to victory with a 6.909/196.57, his slowest of eliminations & Sox's 7.05/194 failed to catch him. He was runner-up later in the year at the IHRA Empire Nationals. There, Al Billes stopped him in the final. |
