  | Notes: The last of Bovan's cars. The car ran occasionally from 1970 to 1972. Steve did drive for others from 1973 to 1976. Best of everything in the car resulted in decent times (low 7s and 200 plus). Steve moved to Costa Mesa in '71 and sold his old Camaro. He didn't race as much as he took jobs at a VW repair shop and, later, at a car customizing joint. He started to fall on much harder times as he was convicted for selling 1,200 lbs of marijuana. Things went downhill from there. Bovan fell on bad times with a bad group of people in the late 70s, which resulted in his demise. |
