Notes: Ran 7.62 at Castle Rock. Dick was runner-up at the Rocky Mountain Funny Car Championships at Castle Rock, Colorado, on July 26. He won his first-round race over John Dekker's "Assassination" 'Cuda with a track record 7.70. In round two, he beat Joe Allen and, in the semifinals, he set a track speed record of 189.06 with a 7.71 that beat Andy Clary. In the final, he had problems and lost to Art Ward's Challenger. - RW |
