Notes: Pat Foster ran the "Damn Yankee" car at NHRA Dallas, Indy, and Ontario. At Dallas, he qualified #13 at 7.049/205.94. In round one, he lost to Rich Siroonian, 6.09/209 (is this ET accurate?) to 7.15/209.30. At Indy for the NHRA US Nationals, he ran 6.632/221.67 to qualify #3 for the tough show, but in the first round, he lost an engine, and oil got under the rear wheels. He got way out of shape and almost crashed into his opponent, Dale Pulde, driving Mickey Thompson's Pinto. Pat qualified #7 at Ontario at 6.985/202.70. In round one, he lost a close one to Jake Johnston, 6.93/205 to 6.96/210.77. Woody Gilmore chassis. |
