Notes: Did this 9.89 run take place at Atco or Englishtown? The new car made its debut at the Super Stock Nationals in May. Jere ran a best 10.31 135.33 in a losing round 1 effort against Bob Riffle. Riffle was also in his first race with a new Demon. Jere qualified #11 at the Grandnationals (qualifying time not known but not quicker than 9.99), but ran 10.22 in a first-round loss to Ronnie Sox at 9.56. That was Jere's only known NHRA national event appearance in 1971. |
