Notes: Englishtown held an eight-car show in August for the unlimited Pro Stocks. Edwards won the event. In the first round, he and Mike Fons ran 8.71 (Lee at 154.37), with the Camaro getting the "win" light. In the semifinals, Ronnie Lyles fouled, and Edwards advanced with an 8.70/155.17. He faced Wayne Gapp in the final. Gapp's Mustang II had problems, and he shut down early while Lee ran 8.68/154.63 for the victory. | The Nov. 1974 issue of Drag Racing USA has a feature titled “A Very Lightweight Camaro… Lee Edwards’ new Pro-Stock entry,” and the feature photo caption calls it “the beautifully prepared Don Hardy Camaro.” |
