Notes: Blown fuel. 131" Sweet Shel chassis. Steel body, glass roof, vinyl trim. Car was run into 1967 season. - per the Jalopy Journal; The world's heaviest (and most unlikely) funny car. Although the body is fiberglass it was built for a Ford TV ad where the car was airlifted to the top of a remote location--a mesa if my memory is correct. When the shoot was over Sheldon Kornblatt purchased the body shell and built a chassis to suit. Fittingly Gary Cochran (of Mr C Ford powered AA/C fame) was one of the drivers who steered "Peanuts" during its career. |
