Notes: Shorty body. At the NHRA Division 3 race at Central Michigan Dragway on July 26, Griffin ran 6.94/171.10 to qualify #2. He beat Tom Baum in the first round with a 7.39/185.18, but a 7.10/172.08 lost to Don Devault's 7.02/196 in the semifinals. Donn qualified on the "bump" with a 6.83/194.38 for the eight-car field at the PHR Championships in August. In round one, his 6.93/196.07 lost to Mike Kosky's 6.80/199.
