Notes: Leach started the '77 season at the Fremont Nitro Bowl race. He got crossed up in his first race and shut off to 8.55/162 in a loss to "Jungle Jim" Liberman's 7.36/208. In his second race, no times were given, but he crossed the stripe ahead of a badly out-of-shape Bob Pickett. Ran 6.76/204.08 at PRO event at Beeline on 1/14/77. Ran 6.47 at Bakersfield on 3/77.
