Notes: Malone had one of the four FCs at US 30, Gary, Indiana, for a four-car show. The car did not run well. The Mustang got out of shape in his first race, and he shut off against Dean Nicopolis in the "Hemi-Hunter" Camaro. He only made one more run against Roger Lindamood, where he shut down early in a loss to the "Color Me Gone" car. Injected. The car was sold to Drake Viscome. | Malone dropped a best of 3 match race to Gary Dyer on 7/30/67 at Pittsburgh International Dragway. Dyer ran a best of 8.46/173.41, but no times were given for Malone. Malone’s Mustang was advertised as blown, but I’m unable to confirm from a photo in my personal collection. - Julian Roberts |
