Notes: Larry qualified #1 at Gulfport Dragway for the NHRA Division 4 opener on February 21. His 6.62/211.76 got him the spot. In the opening round, his late 6.67/209.79 was upset by Mike Fialho's 6.86/202. At Gainesville, he qualified #9 for the NHRA Gatornationals with a 6.36 at 222.99 mph. He faced low qualifier Arnie Karp in the first round, and Reep's 6.70/217.91 lost to Karp's 6.18/227. Reep was the first alternate at Baton Rouge for the NHRA Cajun Nationals with a 6.47/214.33. Shortly after that, he was at Columbus for the NHRA Springnationals. A 6.47/214.23 qualified #13, and his 6.73/215.93 in the first round lost to Vern Moats' 6.50/219. A week later (June 26), he stopped off at Maple Grove for the fourth NHRA Division 1 race. He qualified #4 in the eight-car field with a 6.36/213.27.
