Notes: Bob was at OCIR for the March of Dimes Funny Car race. It was an eight-car show, and he had Low ET of the first-round with a 6.89 at 215.30, but he lost to a quick-leaving Ray Alley, who beat him with a 6.91/205. He was back at OCIR on July 3 for the Nitro Championships, but he lost to Kelly Brown driving Barry Setzer's Vega in the opening round. The next day he was at Irwindale for its 5th Annual Independence Day Championships. There he fouled against Gene Conway in the first round. |
